Daniel Bosia, Design Director at Thornton Tomasetti has more than 22 years experience in the structural engineering field. He has collaborated with high profile international architects including Foster+Partners, Zaha Hadid Architects, Bjarke Ingels Group, Heatherwick Studio, Toyo Ito, Enric Miralles and Daniel Libeskind.
Daniel has taken a leading role in the design, working in close collaboration with architects from the early conceptual stages, all the way through to detailed design and construction, creating new forms based on innovative structural principles and material technologies.
Daniel Bosia is the leading Structural Designer of Danish Pavilion – Shanghai Expo 2010 - iconic pavilion developed on the 3,000m² and realised in collaboration with Big Architects. Based on a column-free knot, the coiling structure consists of a sweeping stress-skin box construction spanning 120m in space and providing a pedestrian and cycling journey.
