Dr Pavlos Vatavalis is the Chief Technical Officer of ETEM. The last 16 years he has worked in key sectoral positions in Europe. For 10 years he was giving lectures in the departmens of Civil and Mechanical Engineering departments of West Attica University. He has given lectures in different educational institutions with topics related to intelligent facades. He is chairing the Task Group of Construction Products Europe that is in charge of the implementation of Construction Products Regulation. For ten years while working in the European Aluminium, he was following all CEN and ISO related standardization Committees with regards to doors, windows and curtain wallings.
He has studied Mechanical Engineering in the National Technical University of Athens and gained his Doctorate by the school of Civil Engineering in Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki with subject: ‘Thermal Performance Investigation of Double Skin Façade Typologies Applied in Greece’.
